A. Dysport®
What is Dysport® /Botox?
Dysport®and Botox injectables are considered paralytic agents that help in wrinkle reduction. Once injected in the targeted areas they relax the fine muscles under tension to relax. Hence minimizing the tense appearance of the areas giving you a rejuvenated facial appearance.
If you have mild to moderate wrinkling of the forehead and want to get rid of them you’re the ideal candidate for Dysport® injections.
How does Dysport® work?
Dysport® consists of Botulinum toxin type A. it works in similar fashion like Botox.
How can I prepare for Dysport® injection?
There is no need for any special preparation required. Don’t forget to tell your doctor about any drug allergy, any previous Botox injections or any skin infections at the wrinkles.
When will I see the results?
The results of Dysport® are typically seen within 24 to 48 hours and they last for four to six months.
Should I worry about any side effects?
Pain at the site is experienced which goes away in few hours.

B. Fillers
The Restylane group consists of Restylane-L, Restylane-Silk, RestylaneLyft. These are fillers which are used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth).
Restylane-L and Restylane Silk may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years.
Restylane is sterile gel consisting of non-animal, cross-linked, hyaluronic acid (HA) made in a laboratory. It contains no human or animal DNA and have the best safety profile. It is a FDA approved label.
How long does the filler Restylane take to work?
You’ll be able to see the effect immediately, but it can take a few days to “settle into” it’s final shape.
How long will Restylane effect last?
It depends on the area treated, your skin, and the injection technique, Restylane will last 6 – 9 months. In some cases duration of the effects can be a bit shorter or longer.
Do I need to come for repeat or maintenance treatments with Restylane?
Yes. You’ll require maintenance 1-4 times a year.
How is the procedure done?
Step 1: Facial mapping is done
Strategic points on your face will be marked as the appropriate injection sites for the filler. Photographs may be taken of the areas to be treated.
Step 2: Cleansing & anesthetizing
The injection sites will be cleansed with an antibacterial agent. Then topical anesthesia in form of ointment or injection is used to numb the skin.
Step 3: Injecting Restylane
Injection usually takes only a few moments per site. The whole process may take even less than 15 minutes or may be an hour depending upon the areas injected.
Step 4 : Clean-up & recovery
You may be offered an ice pack to reduce swelling and alleviate discomfort. You may feel slight discomfort or bit tenderness at the site of injection. Don’t worry it will pass.
Should I worry for side effects?
You may experience swelling for 24-72 hours, especially with injections in the lips.
You may see mild bruising or a slight blush at the injection site immediately following treatment, it will disappear in a day or so.
